Raquel and Oliver's wedding at the Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove was a stunning blend of modern elegance and timeless romance. What made this event even more special was my personal connection with Raquel; we've been friends since middle school, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have turned that friendship into a professional collaboration.
The theme for the day was "modern romance." From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted by an atmosphere filled with love. The ceremony space was decorated with smilax vines, providing a beautiful backdrop for Raquel and Oliver's vows. Custom signage added a personal touch to the wedding. As the sun set, fireworks lit up the sky. Every detail from the flowers to the rentals was carefully planned to enhance the modern romantic vibes.
Raquel and Oliver are not just a couple in love; they're genuinely wonderful and thoughtful individuals. Being a part of their wedding and witnessing their love story was an absolute honor. Their love is truly a beautiful reminder that love is worth celebrating, and we feel so lucky to have played a role in their special day.
For all the future newlyweds out there, here's a piece of advice: create a timeline for your special day that aligns with your priorities. Make sure you allocate time for all the things you want to do and experience together (i.e. fireworks 😉). Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime event, so plan it in a way that allows you to savor every moment and create lasting memories.
